Privacy Policy

Automation Architects (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is a South African AI automation and data engineering consultancy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through automationarchitects.ai, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Who we are

What we collect

When you contact us. If you complete our contact form or request a Free AI Assessment, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), company name, and whatever you write in the message. We need this to reply to you — nothing more.

When you use our chat. Messages you send through the site chat, so we can respond and keep a record of the conversation.

Automatically, when you browse. If you consent to analytics cookies: pages you visit, how long you stay, roughly where you are (country/city level), your device and browser type, how you arrived at our site, and interactions like clicks and scrolls. This is aggregated behavioural data — we are not trying to identify you personally.

We do not collect special personal information, we do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Why we collect it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide the services you ask for
• To understand which content and pages are useful, so we can improve them
• To keep the site secure and working properly
• To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations

Our lawful basis

We rely on your consent for analytics and behavioural tracking — you can decline, and the site works fine without it. For enquiries, we rely on performance of a contract or steps taken at your request. For security and record-keeping, we rely on our legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

We use third-party services that process data on our behalf:

Some of these providers are outside South Africa. Where information is transferred abroad, we rely on the recipient being subject to laws or binding agreements that provide comparable protection, as POPIA requires.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and chat records: as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Analytics data: per the retention period set in Google Analytics. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

How we protect it

The site runs over HTTPS, so data in transit is encrypted. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it. We also redact email addresses in our analytics configuration so they aren't sent to Google.

No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct or delete it
• Object to us processing it
• Withdraw your consent to analytics at any time
• Complain to the Information Regulator
